In this class, I’m currently involved in a project creating a survey for the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce. This experience has given me hands-on insight into guiding the direction of a study, deciding what information will be most valuable, and selecting the right data collection methods. We crafted questions to ensure clarity and relevance, and we are now focused on analyzing the data to provide actionable insights that can guide the Chamber’s strategies. 

In this class, I studied how people and groups behave within organizations. This class helped me understand the dynamics of team interactions, motivation, and decision-making processes. By learning about different leadership styles and organizational behavior theories, I was able to foster my own leadership skills, gaining a better understanding of how to effectively lead and inspire others in a professional setting.

In this class, I gained hands-on experience with the fundamentals of digital marketing needed to execute effective marketing strategies in an online, connected world. I worked on projects involving key digital channels such as social media, SEO, email marketing, and content marketing, applying these tools to reach and engage audiences. This experience provided me with a solid understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and its impact on business growth, allowing me to effectively execute real-world marketing campaigns.

In this class, I gained experience using JMP software to apply key concepts, processes, techniques, and tools for data analysis. This involved extracting, cleansing, organizing, transforming, storing, and visualizing data to support business decision-making. By working with real-world datasets, I developed the ability to effectively analyze and interpret data, providing valuable insights to inform strategic business actions. The course enhanced my skills in data-driven problem solving, enabling me to make informed decisions that drive business performance.

In this independent study, I participated in a Colorado State University-sanctioned study abroad program in Todos Santos, Mexico. Through immersive learning experiences, I explored the differences between the business climates of Mexico and the United States. This included examining cultural influences on business practices, variations in regulatory environments, and approaches to entrepreneurship and market operations in both countries.

By engaging with local businesses and communities, I gained firsthand insights into how cultural and economic factors shape business strategies and decision-making in Mexico. This experience deepened my understanding of global business dynamics and enhanced my ability to adapt to diverse professional environments.

Topics included ocean circulation, marine ecosystems, plate tectonics, and human impacts on marine environments. This course gave me a comprehensive understanding of the oceans’ role in Earth’s systems and their importance to global sustainability.
